At Mainline, I built a team to deliver conversation visualization, influencer auditing, targeted advertising and automated direct outreach systems for brands and agencies. Along the way, I adopted numerous technical roles, starting with building the entire backend in Python and Postgres, developing into a data science role as we began encountering problems with inauthentic coordinated activity.

Network Quality Detection Algorithms
Brands spend a lot of money on influencers. For the amount of investment allocated, the tools to identify the right influencers with real communities are lacking. Bots and padded engagement are rampant. To solve this, I developed multiple detection algorithms to not only weed out bot networks but also surface accounts with the highest quality, most committed audience. ​

Twitter Account Auditing System
In order to facilitate the scores explained above, I created a high throughput auditing system in Python. The app currently hosted here collected and processed over 1.8B accounts, 300M tweets, and 100s of billions of relational edges in order to perform audits on over 5M accounts.

Virality Prediction with Network Mapping
The foundational insights of Mainline were based on network mapping social media conversations. Visualizing conversations in this way gave quick insights as to which accounts and conversations got the most spread vs. which were speaking into an echo chamber.​

Hyper-targeted Advertising System
The net result of collecting nearly every Twitter account and billions of relationships between them is the ability to create high-affinity groups of accounts based on bio keywords, who they follow & engage with, and who follows them.​ These groups could be fed into Twitter's ad platform in order to serve targeted content to these audiences for 2-10x better results than Twitter's internal targeting tools.

Lead-finder and SDR Automation tools
As we started to collide with the market with our direct sales programs, I also developed a number of in-house tools leveraging OpenAI's APIs to identify ideal target prospects and do semi-automated outreach to book sales calls.
